The Hotel OLEUM is an exclusive accommodation, located in the historical centre of the city with its own parking, in an original eclectic style building from the beginning of the 20th century with a central courtyard around which the rooms are distributed.
Decorated with great pieces of art in painting, sculpture, woodwork and decorative objects on exhibition and for sale. It occupies the four floors of the building and has a restaurant, lobby, meeting room, library and solarium on the terrace.
The Hotel “OLEUM” is a mansion built in 1924 by the banker Francisco Rueda as a family residence in Andújar, the entrance to the Natural Park “Sierra de Andújar”. The city is rich in historical and artistic heritage and celebrates several major events each year such as the Romería de la Virgen de la Cabeza, Semana Santa, Andújar Flamenca, Anducab and much more.
The gourmet restaurant “Refugio” is located in the beautiful 16th century basement of the building. The kitchen is run by chef Pablo Dueñas and sous-chef Olmo Crespo and the dining room by Ángel Fernández, sommelier and head waiter.
Through the dining room there is access to an air-raid shelter, discovered by accident during the renovation of the hotel in 2022 at a height of 7m. It was built in 1937 in the middle of the Civil War, as the mansion was the Republican Army Officers’ Residence.

The city of Andújar has an extraordinary heritage of art in its historic centre.
With several Cultural Interest Sites such as churches: Santa María (with an oil painting by El Greco “The Prayer in the Garden of Olives” which – according to the former director of the Prado Museum – is one of his masterpieces; Santiago (Andrés de Vandelvira intervened), San Bartolomé (with wrought ironwork by Maestro Bartolomé), San Miguel and Palaces such as the Municipal Palace, Palacio de los Niños de Don Gome, Palacio de los Sirvente de Mieres (today tourist flats) and the Palacio de los Cárdenas.
The “Sierra de Andújar” Natural Park is home to the largest colony of Iberian lynx in the world, a feline in danger of extinction, as well as a great biodiversity of fauna and flora: imperial eagles, golden eagles, griffon vultures, black vultures, black storks, deer, wild boar, fallow deer, foxes, wolves, pine trees, rockrose, rosemary, strawberry trees, junipers, etc. In the Park there are many large farms where big hunting “monterías” are held every autumn and an infinite number of itineraries for hiking.
